This guide will show you how to add TripAdvisor as a source of reviews to your Buzztrack account.
Note: Before you link any sources, make sure you've created at least one location in Buzztrack. Each location represents a physical branch or store of your business.
- Find your TripAdvisor listing
- Head over to Tripadvisor.com and search for your business listing.
- Log in to Buzztrack
- Go to account.buzztrack.co and sign in to your Buzztrack account.
- Add TripAdvisor as a source
- In your Buzztrack dashboard, navigate to the “Sources” page.
- Find the TripAdvisor section and click on the map pin icon.
- You can also visit this page directly here: https://www.buzztrack.co/app/source/TripAdvisor/location
- Link your location(s)
- Name: Copy the name of your business from the TripAdvisor listing and paste it into the corresponding name field.
- URL: Copy the web address (URL) of your TripAdvisor listing and paste it into the corresponding field.
- Location ID: TripAdvisor uses two identification numbers in their URLs. A g-ID (a general location, like a city or region) and a d-ID (a specific point of interest, like a hotel, restaurant, or attraction). You need the d-ID for this set up.
- Look at the TripAdvisor URL.
- Search for the part of the URL that looks like numbers following "d-".
- Ignore the "d-" part. The number following "d-" is the d-ID you need.
- Copy that number and paste it into the location ID field.
Example:
- Name: Mike's Tratorria
- URL: https://www.tripadvisor.ca/Attraction_Review-g312578-d25358985-Reviews-Mikes-Trattoria-Johannesburg_Greater_Johannesburg_Gauteng.html
- Location ID: 25358985
- Save and refresh
- After entering all the details, click “Save”.
- Go back to the “Sources” page.
- Click the "Refresh Reviews" button next to the TripAdvisor section.
Note: Importing Reviews may take time
It usually takes a few minutes to fetch your reviews from the past year, but sometimes it can take longer. You should see the most recent reviews appear on your Buzztrack Reviews Page right away.
