How to Redeem a Voucher in Voucherplan

1. The Diner will present their physical voucher or a digital copy on their phone

2. The restaurant waiter/manager will use a cellphone to scan the QR code on the voucher and open the link that is prompted on the screen.

3. A web browser window will open on the cellphone, bringing up the voucher details. These include the value of the voucher, how much has been redeemed and how much is remaining. 

4. If you're not logged in to Voucherplan yet, there will be a blue button prompting you to "Login to redeem". Select the button and log in with your Voucherplan account details (please note, this is not the same as your Dineplan user login).

5. If you are already logged in or once you have logged in, the voucher details will load. There will be some additional text field blocks - one for providing the Voucher Secret code to validate the voucher and one to fill in the amount the guest would like you to redeem from the voucher.


6. Fill in the details in these blocks and then select the green "Redeem Amount" button to complete the voucher redemption.

7. When redeemed successfully, a confirmation notification will display. An email confirming the redemption will go to the notification email that was provided when the account was set up. The guest should also receive a notification email, confirming the amount that was redeemed.

Not sure where to find a QR scanner? Not to worry. You can use the QR code reader on your smartphone's camera OR you can download any QR code Scanner from Google Play Store or App Store.

Troubleshooting

If you get an "Invalid Voucher" error when entering the codes, here are a few possible reasons

  • The reference number and/or secret code are incorrect 
  • The voucher has been partially redeemed and the diner has not given you the updated secret code (they will receive a new secret code after each partial redemption)
  • The voucher has already been fully redeemed
  • Some restaurants have vouchers that are specifically for their restaurant - these vouchers will bear the restaurant's name on them and won't be redeemable at any other restaurants

Please try to enter the codes again and make sure that they are entered correctly. If the error persists, then the reference and code combination does not match a valid voucher and we recommend that you do not accept the voucher.
