Manually Opt Out Guests Who Are on Your Database

Need to opt out a guest who does not want to receive future sms/email marketing?

You have the ability to opt out a guest, who is currently on your database, from sms and/or email marketing by following the below simple steps:

  • Click on the Guests tab on the left.

  • Search for the guest using either their contact number or email address. This is the best way to ensure you find the correct person.

  • Click the edit button on the right (pencil icon) in line with the guest.

  • In the new window click on the "Edit" tab

  • You will see an "Opt In" section, under "Secondary Email"

  • Either select/deselect the check box next to the "EMAIL" and/or "SMS" Opt In option.

  • Click the "Save" button at the bottom once you are done.



POPI compliance

There is always a "STOP to Opt Out" included at the end of SMS marketing campaigns. So guests receiving any sms marketing have the option to reply "Stop" and their guest profile will be updated accordingly in Dineplan and they will not be included in future sms marketing through Dineplan, unless they opt themselves in again. All email campaigns sent via Dineplan, include an Unsubscribe link which allows guests to opt-out for future emails. This change will be updated in your Dineplan database instantly.
