Voucherplan Updates

Coming into effect on 3 December 2021

We are making important and exciting updates to the Voucherplan platform. A list of these updates have been included below.

Note that there is a change to when voucher payments are released.

  • Search feature within the Voucherplan dashboard.

  • Credit card payments available for vouchers.

  • Voucher funds will only be released for vouchers which have been redeemed through Voucherplan.

The settlement cycle will remain the same and the voucher funds will be released to the restaurant on the last business day each week.

 

Please note the important points below regarding the above changes.

  • The restaurant is required to mark vouchers as redeemed in Voucherplan. Currently this is not a requirement which has led to some diners taking chances and trying, sometimes successfully, to redeem the same voucher twice.

  • The restaurant can only mark a voucher as redeemed by scanning the voucher QR code. Currently a restaurant can mark a voucher as redeemed without seeing the voucher. This has led to certain situations where a voucher is marked as redeemed, however, the guest claims not to have used their voucher yet. In this case, the guest could be taking a chance, or the restaurant might have marked the incorrect voucher as redeemed by mistake. This update will avoid this being possible.

Please make sure that all staff dealing with vouchers are aware of the above and that they know how to redeem the vouchers by using the QR code.
