What are Widget Questions?

 

Use widget questions to elicit more information from guests during the online booking process, or make them aware of important details, such as closing times.

Widget questions are a useful way of asking:

  • Where did you hear about us? FB, Google, WOM etc.
  • Please confirm that you have read our T&Cs
  • Are you celebrating a special occasion?

 

Guests do have a free input box in the personal details section, so use Widget Questions judiciously as so as not to unnecessarily make guests do more work.

 

How do Widget Questions appear to guests?

Once guests have entered their booking details and personal details, they will go though one more step before completing the booking process.

You can decide on:

  • The questions you wish to ask

  • Whether they are compulsory or not (eg. allergies in the above)

  • What answers guests can select from

  • If they can select more than one answer

  • Whether they have a free text input box instead of fixed answers

  • The order in which the questions are displayed
