Date exceptions allow you to block off areas and shifts for certain dates so that online bookings cannot be made
To quickly close off a date for online bookings, log into your Dineplan account and follow the below easy steps:
-
Click on the Exceptions tab from the black vertical option bar on the left.
-
Click Add date exception at the top right.
-
Give the Exception a Name (For internal usage) and an Online Name ( What the guests sees on the widget).
-
You're able to select a Single Date or Date Range from the drop down.
-
All shifts and areas are marked as disabled by default (a blue circle with white tick). Select the shift(s) that you'd like to leave open. A blue circle with a white tick means that it has been blocked.
-
Exception Notes allows you to add internal notes.
-
Enter your name and click Add Exception.
Exceptions are used to close a date or time that you are usually open. If you want to open up your restaurant for different trading hours on a particular day for an event or special occasion, you will use a Custom Date
