Automated review notifications that allow you to better understand your guests' experiences.

Authentic reviews

Unlike public platforms such as Google and Tripadvisor, Dineplan reviews allow you to quickly and easily identify the exact guest, the date they booked on, the time and where they were seated. This allows you to easily track what went well or where issues arose and monitor genuine feedback. 

 

Our aim is to avoid fake reviews and to ensure that each review that you receive is from a valid guest that dined at your restaurant. We do no allow open reviews to be made by the public.

 

A review request is sent to the contact details of the person that made the reservation at the restaurant, the day after their reservation. If they booked via the Dineplan App, they will have a review option for past reservations.

 

What do reviews look like?

When submitting a review, it defaults to public. The guest does have the option to "untick" the checkbox for it to to be a private review. Private reviews are only seen by the restaurant, whereas public reviews are displayed on our listings website.

All of our reviews require a guest to rate their experience based on Food, Value, Service and Ambiance which further allows you to identify exactly where the guest enjoyed (or didn't enjoy) their experience if they do not leave a comment. For ratings of less than 2 for any criterion, guests are prompted to leave a comment to help the restaurant understand why they've given this rating.

 

How can I see and respond to reviews?

Once a review is posted, the user on your account, listed to receive notifications will receive an email showing the details of the review and if they have the necessary permissions, allowing them to respond.

    You can see all of your reviews and respond by clicking on the Guests tab when logged in on your Dineplan account. You can also see them on your listing on our website www.dineplan.com or on our mobile app to view public reviews and ratings. Your responses to public reviews will be displayed on our App and website.

    In the interests of maintaining the platform's integrity, we will only remove reviews if:

    • the guest reaches out to us directly to request that we do
    • the review is for the wrong restaurant
    • the review contravenes our Review Policy
